Project Overview

This newly renovated stadium is not solely a venue for football games. Its design and features accommodate a range of activities, from concerts to community events, making it a central hub for cultural and social gatherings in Tempe. This aligns with the university’s goal of maximizing the utility and versatility of its facilities.

The success of Phase III can be attributed to the teamwork of the Hunt/Sundt Joint Venture, structural engineering expertise from Meyers Borgman Johnson, architectural innovation by Gould Evans and HNTB, and the precision structural steel services of Schuff Steel. With an expedited schedule to complete the project before the first game of the 2018/2019 season, ironworkers worked round the clock to complete the erection scope of work. Schuff’s work packages included supply, fabrication, and erection of the structural steel as well as joist, deck, and stairs.
